Each painter on TheWeddingPainters is interviewed by one or both of our founders, Jack and Huw, and we audit every portfolio to make sure the artist is exactly who they say they are. We look for exceptional talent, of course, but also for warmth, reliability and professionalism, because the person painting your wedding will be part of your day and should feel like it. How much does a live wedding painter cost in New York?

Starting prices with our New York live wedding painters start from $1,500 to $5,000, depending on the artist, the size of the canvas, the detail you want to capture and the style of the piece. When you inquire, your artist will send a personalized quote that includes their travel and accommodation, so you'll know the full cost upfront with no hidden extras. A 25% deposit secures your date is possible with some artists, and the balance is due around 30 days before your wedding. Every message, quote and payment stays securely on our platform, so you're protected from first inquiry to final brushstroke.

When to book

New York's wedding season runs from late spring well into October, and fall weekends in the Hudson Valley are especially sought after. With a small, hand-picked group of artists serving the state, popular dates go quickly.
