How much does a live wedding painter cost in Yorkshire? Most artists on our platform charge between £800 and £2,500 depending on the size of the painting, the number of hours they attend, and the finishing detail required. Yorkshire-based artists typically have lower travel costs for local venues, which can reduce the overall price. You can see each artist's price range on their profile before you enquire.

Do I need to provide anything for the artist on the day? Most artists simply need a spot to stand or sit with good sightlines to the scene they're painting, and a small table for their materials. A heads-up to your venue coordinator is usually enough. Our artists are experienced working around caterers, photographers, and guests — they're used to being part of a busy room.

Can a live wedding painter work at barn or outdoor venues? Absolutely. Many of Yorkshire's most popular venues are barn conversions or include outdoor ceremony spaces. Our artists are accustomed to varied lighting conditions and bring portable setups. If your venue has specific restrictions, just mention it when you enquire and the artist will advise.

How far in advance should I book? For peak Yorkshire wedding season — May through September — we'd recommend booking at least 6 to 9 months ahead. That said, it's always worth checking availability even for closer dates. Last-minute bookings do sometimes work out.
