Working live at your wedding, I paint your day as it happens, not a photograph of the moment, but an investment piece, an heirloom that only grows more meaningful with every year it lives in your home.
Working in oil and acrylic, my style is rooted in bringing genuine warmth and care to every piece, so the finished painting feels personal and true to your day, not generic. I'd love to hear about your special day and create something beautiful together.
How It Works
Step 1: Planning your painting (before the day)
We'll have a consultation to talk through your vision and the moment you'd like captured — your first kiss, first dance, first look, or a moment of your choosing. If you're not sure, I'll help you decide.
Step 2: On the day (setup)
I arrive ahead of your chosen moment to set up and prepare, so everything is ready the instant it happens.
Step 3: Capturing your moment + painting live
I begin painting live, working from direct observation as your day unfolds, capturing your chosen moment in real time while your guests watch it come to life.
Step 4: Evening reveal
You'll see the painting revealed later in the evening — a proper moment of its own, with no posing or pausing your celebration to check in.
Step 5: Studio finish + delivery
I take the piece for final studio finishing to bring it to full completion, then it's delivered or mailed to your home.

Both packages capture your full scene, painted live as your day unfolds. The choice comes down to scale, and where the piece will live in your home.
Cherished is a beautifully composed piece at a versatile size, easy to hang almost anywhere in your home.
Treasured gives the same full scene greater scale and presence, a statement piece that holds the wall and grows in meaning with every year it hangs there.
All packages include:
- Oil or acrylic on canvas
- A consultation before your wedding to plan your moment
- Live painting from direct observation as your day unfolds
- An evening reveal
- Studio finishing after the wedding
- Completion and shipping to your home within 3 months
Cancellation & Refund Policy▼
A full refund is available up to 90 days prior to the wedding date, aside from travel expenses. A 50% refund is available 89-30 days before the wedding. Payments are nonrefundable 30 days before the wedding date.
Artist's Service Terms▼
Important: These are the artist's service-specific terms. The platform's Terms & Conditions always take precedence.
Canvas portraits will be provided up to three months after the event.
Adjustments to canvas paintings can be made after the time of the event but may cause Alexandra to go over the three-month deadline depending on the specifications. Requests from clients are always taken into account, and Alexandra does her best to accommodate them, but ultimate creative control and liberties remain with Alexandra.

Who am I actually booking?
You're booking your artist directly. TheWeddingPainters connects you with independent artists, and once you confirm your booking, your contract sits directly with the artist you've chosen. We handle the booking process and payment on their behalf, so everything stays effortless and in one place from enquiry to wedding day.
Why should I pay through TheWeddingPainters instead of paying my artist directly?
Paying through TheWeddingPainters keeps your deposit and payments secure, your agreement recorded in one place, and our team on hand to step in if anything about the booking needs sorting out.
If you pay your artist privately, by bank transfer or PayPal, outside our system, we lose visibility of that payment and our ability to help. That matters most in the moment you'd need us: if there's a dispute, or your artist doesn't turn up on the day.
Keeping everything on-platform is what lets us actually protect your wedding day, not just process it.
What should I do if my artist asks me to pay them directly (bank transfer, PayPal, etc.)?
TheWeddingPainters is a booking platform – we help you and your artist keep the booking and payments clearly recorded. If payments happen privately, they won't appear in our system and it may limit how much we can assist if anything needs to be checked later.
If you ever feel unsure or pressured, please contact us and we'll take a look.
Will I lose any protection if I pay outside TheWeddingPainters?
If you pay your artist directly (for example by separate bank transfer, PayPal or cash), those payments won't show in your TheWeddingPainters booking record.
That means:
- We can't see what was paid, when, or on what terms
- It can be harder for us to help if there's a disagreement about what was included, what's still owed, or whether a refund is due
For that reason, we strongly recommend keeping all payments for your booking within TheWeddingPainters, where we process payments on your artist's behalf and keep a clear record for both of you.
