My background is in landscape painting, so I’m especially drawn to weddings with a memorable atmosphere: stunning architectural backdrops, idyllic gardens, golden hour light. I paint the two of you at the center of it all, live as your day unfolds, in a piece rendered through texture and color. It’s more than an investment; it’s a legacy for generations to enjoy.
I work in acrylic, which means bolder color and a faster-drying finish, so your painting is largely complete by the end of the night. And I love chatting with your guests as it comes to life.
How It Works
Step 1: We match your moment
I’ll ask about your vision, your preferences, and your ceremony and reception timeline, so we can decide the best window for me to paint live.
Step 2: I set up and paint
I arrive before your event to set up my easel, then paint your wedding as it unfolds in front of me, interacting with your guests while I work.
Step 3: Finishing touches
After the wedding, I take your painting back to my studio to add the final touches and details and make sure everything looks just right. This takes around 3–8 weeks, depending on your package.
Step 4: Your piece is delivered
Once complete, your painting is securely packaged and shipped to your home, or dropped off or picked up, depending on your location.
Choosing Your Package
Both packages put the two of you at the center, with your setting given real presence around you. The difference is scale, and how much of your scenery the canvas can hold.
Scenic Portrait is a couple-centered piece with an emphasis on the scenery around you: a personal painting of your ceremony, first look, first kiss or another moment you choose.
Scenic Statement Portrait gives your setting even more room on a large canvas, with more time painting on the day and a detailed consultation to shape the vision. It’s a statement piece where your venue and its atmosphere become part of your story.

Cancellation & Refund Policy▼
If the Client cancels: More than 90 days before the wedding: the retainer is 50% refunded, but no additional balance is owed. 30–90 days before the wedding: the retainer is 25% refunded, however any additional non-refundable expenses already incurred by the Artist may also be charged. Less than 30 days before the wedding: the retainer is non-refundable, and any additional expenses incurred by the Artist is also charged (supplies, travel expenses, etc). Client may not be responsible for the full remaining balance depending on circumstances such as illness, emergency, natural disaster, or another circumstance beyond the Client's reasonable control. If the wedding date changes, the Artist will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the new date. If the Artist is available on the new date, the retainer may be transferred to the new date. If the Artist is unavailable on the new date, the change will be treated as a cancellation and depending on the number of days before the wedding date, and will be managed as stated above.

COPYRIGHT & OWNERSHIP
The completed painting is an original artwork created by the Artist.
Upon full payment, the Client will own the physical original painting.
The Artist retains all copyrights and intellectual property rights to the artwork.
The Client may display the artwork for personal use but may not reproduce, sell reproductions of, commercially license, or otherwise use the artwork for commercial purposes without written permission from the Artist.
REVISIONS & FINAL APPROVAL
The Artist will complete the painting based on the Client’s preferences and the details discussed prior to the wedding. The Client understands that the final painting is an original artistic interpretation and is not intended to be an exact photographic reproduction.
After the wedding, the Artist will provide the Client with a photo of the completed painting for review. The Client may request one reasonable round of minor revisions to details such as color, small objects, or other minor adjustments.
Major changes to the composition, subjects, setting, or overall design are not included in the original service fee. Additional revisions or substantial changes requested after the initial review may be subject to an additional fee, which will be discussed and approved by the Client before any additional work begins.
Once the Client has approved the final painting, or the agreed revision has been completed, the artwork will be considered final.
PHOTOGRAPHY & PORTFOLIO USE
The Artist may photograph or record the artwork during the painting process and after completion.
The Artist may use photographs of the painting, the painting process, and the wedding setting for portfolio, website, social media, advertising, marketing, and other promotional purposes.
The Artist will make reasonable efforts to avoid identifying or prominently featuring wedding guests without permission.
If the Client does not wish for the finished painting to be used for promotional purposes, the Client must notify the Artist in writing before the wedding.
TRAVEL
The live-wedding fee includes travel within 50 miles of Appleton, Wisconsin.
Travel beyond this area may be subject to an additional travel fee, which will be communicated to and approved by the Client before booking.
If overnight accommodations are reasonably required because of the wedding location, those expenses will be discussed with the Client in advance.

If you ever feel unsure or pressured, please contact us and we'll take a look.
Will I lose any protection if I pay outside TheWeddingPainters?
If you pay your artist directly (for example by separate bank transfer, PayPal or cash), those payments won't show in your TheWeddingPainters booking record.
That means:
- We can't see what was paid, when, or on what terms
- It can be harder for us to help if there's a disagreement about what was included, what's still owed, or whether a refund is due
For that reason, we strongly recommend keeping all payments for your booking within TheWeddingPainters, where we process payments on your artist's behalf and keep a clear record for both of you.
