The Experience
Description
Most wedding art arrives weeks after the day is over. Mine goes home with you that night. I paint your wedding live in acrylics, in a light-filled colorist style, so by the end of your celebration you're holding a finished original painting, ready to hang the moment you walk through your door.
I don't paint to record every detail. I paint to hold on to how it felt: the late sun through the trees, the place you chose to say your vows, the hush right before your first kiss. Every painting is as much a portrait of your day's light and setting as it is of the two of you. That's the part photographs can't quite keep, and it's the part that grows in meaning every year this painting lives on your wall.
Throughout the day, your guests get to watch it come to life. They drift over to the easel, watch the colors build, and become part of the story themselves. It's an experience on the day and an heirloom for decades after: one original work of art, made only once, for the two of you.
How It Works
- We plan your moment. Once you've enquired, we'll talk through your day, your venue, and the moment you'd most love painted, whether it's your first kiss, your first dance, or something quieter in between.
- I set up on the day. I arrive and set up my easel where your guests can watch and I can see your moment unfold.
- I paint live. As your wedding happens around me, I capture its color, energy, and emotion on canvas.
- The reveal. By the end of the evening, your painting is finished and revealed to you and your guests.
- You take it home that night. No waiting weeks for delivery. Your painting leaves with you, ready to hang.

- Studio refinements: If you’d like extra detail after the wedding, I can take your painting back to my studio. My aim, though, is always that you leave with a finished artwork in hand.

Cancellation & Refund Policy▼
Your deposit is refundable if you cancel 90 days or more before your wedding. If you cancel between 89 and 30 days before your wedding, your deposit is non-refundable, but any balance you've paid will be refunded. Within 29 days of your wedding, all payments are non-refundable. Where travel is involved and flights have already been booked, the cost of those flights will be deducted from any refund.

What should I do if my artist asks me to pay them directly (bank transfer, PayPal, etc.)?
TheWeddingPainters is a booking platform – we help you and your artist keep the booking and payments clearly recorded. If payments happen privately, they won't appear in our system and it may limit how much we can assist if anything needs to be checked later.
If you ever feel unsure or pressured, please contact us and we'll take a look.
Will I lose any protection if I pay outside TheWeddingPainters?
If you pay your artist directly (for example by separate bank transfer, PayPal or cash), those payments won't show in your TheWeddingPainters booking record.
That means:
- We can't see what was paid, when, or on what terms
- It can be harder for us to help if there's a disagreement about what was included, what's still owed, or whether a refund is due
For that reason, we strongly recommend keeping all payments for your booking within TheWeddingPainters, where we process payments on your artist's behalf and keep a clear record for both of you.
