Most wedding painters approach a scene the way a photographer would — capturing what's there. My background in fashion and industrial design means I approach it differently.

I'm thinking about movement, composition, and elegance — crafting a painting that's the best possible version of your day, not just a record of it. That means I can remove what doesn't belong, add people or pets who couldn't be there, and build the composition around what actually matters. The result is a painting that feels more true to the day than a photograph ever could — because it captures how it felt, not just how it happened to look in one fleeting moment.

With fifteen years of experience across illustration and painting, I work in acrylic or oil — producing a finished, varnished piece that's an investment in something you'll still be proud to have on your wall decades from now.

How it works

Step 1 — Planning your painting

Around a month before the wedding, we'll have a video consultation to talk through your timeline, your venue, and the scene you'd love painted. I'll want to understand the composition — who's in it, what the setting looks like, and anything you'd like included or left out.

Step 2 — Arrival and set-up

I arrive at least 30 minutes before the event to get set up — this is entirely separate from painting time. All I need is a table, one chair in the main wedding room, good lighting, and a plug socket nearby. Worth letting your venue coordinator know I'll be there as one of your vendors.

Step 3 — Your reference session

Early in the day, we take a short ten-minute photo session together — reference images that let me capture your expressions, your attire, and the details that matter most. Quick, easy, and fitted around the flow of your day.

Step 4 — Live painting

Throughout the event, I paint live while your guests watch the artwork develop. The painting becomes part of the atmosphere of the day — something for guests to drift past, watch, and talk about.

Step 5 — The reveal

Before the cake cutting, I reveal the painting to you. It's one of the quiet highlights of the day — and one of the reasons couples who've had live painting consistently say they'd do it again.

Step 6 — Studio finishing and delivery

Where refinements are needed, I complete them in the studio after the wedding. Your finished, varnished piece is delivered within five to six weeks.

Elegant Touch — £850

50 × 60 cm · Acrylic or oil · ~5 hours live painting

Best for: couples who want a beautifully composed portrait — the two of you, painted with care, against a minimal background that keeps the focus firmly on the moment.

Refined Touch — £1,250

50 × 60 cm · Acrylic or oil · ~7 hours live painting

Best for: couples who want the scene around them as well as themselves — venue details, atmosphere, and the full setting of the day woven into the composition.

Exquisite Touch — £1,680

50 × 70 cm · Acrylic or oil · ~7 hours live painting · Up to 2 additional people or pets included · Tree of Life guest canvas

Best for: couples who want the complete live art experience. Alongside the main painting, guests are invited to add their own fingerprint leaf to a Tree of Life canvas throughout the reception — a growing, personal piece that belongs to everyone who was there, and leaves with you as a second artwork from the day.
