I’ve spent over a decade learning to translate fleeting moments like these into colour and texture, and on your wedding day I’ll paint yours live, as your celebration unfolds around us.
Your guests get to watch your painting take shape in real time, and you get something far more lasting: a unique reflection of your love story, made to live in your home and grow in meaning for decades. With a reception of 5–7 hours, I can even finish it live, so you take it home that very night.
How It Works
Step 1: Pre-wedding consultation
We’ll chat in advance about when you’d like the moment captured, the composition you’re drawn to, and all the event logistics.
Step 2: Arrival and set-up
I arrive 1–2 hours before your event, so I can begin painting the background once your décor is in place.
Step 3: Capturing key moments and painting live
Throughout the day, I take reference photographs of key moments between the two of you in the setting you’ve envisioned for the painting. If your reception runs for 5–7 hours, I can finish your painting live and hand it over for you to take home on the day itself.
Step 4: Studio refinement and delivery
If your painting needs more time, I take it back to my studio for the final touches, sending you progress photos and incorporating reasonable adjustments along the way. Your finished piece is typically ready within 5–6 weeks, depending on size and any edits, and we’ll then arrange delivery.

Keeping everything on-platform is what lets us actually protect your wedding day, not just process it.
What should I do if my artist asks me to pay them directly (bank transfer, PayPal, etc.)?
TheWeddingPainters is a booking platform – we help you and your artist keep the booking and payments clearly recorded. If payments happen privately, they won't appear in our system and it may limit how much we can assist if anything needs to be checked later.
If you ever feel unsure or pressured, please contact us and we'll take a look.
Will I lose any protection if I pay outside TheWeddingPainters?
If you pay your artist directly (for example by separate bank transfer, PayPal or cash), those payments won't show in your TheWeddingPainters booking record.
That means:
- We can't see what was paid, when, or on what terms
- It can be harder for us to help if there's a disagreement about what was included, what's still owed, or whether a refund is due
For that reason, we strongly recommend keeping all payments for your booking within TheWeddingPainters, where we process payments on your artist's behalf and keep a clear record for both of you.
