Description
Im an artist with over 25 years of experience covering a broad range of art disciplines, from model life drawing to creating abstraction experimenting with a variety of different mediums.
In terms of how I feel about painting people; I’m truly passionate about capturing special moments through elegant hand-painted portraits that are a true reflection of character and personality which is evident in my work.
Art has always been a passion of mine, and I wanted to combine my creativity with the joy of celebrating life’s most meaningful occasions. That’s how turning wedding moments into Fine Art was born—dedicated to creating beautiful keepsakes that allow guests to take home a lasting memory of a truly unforgettable day. Watching guests receive a personalised portrait is one of my favourite parts of every celebration- smiles, surprise, and excitement are what inspire me to create artwork that becomes a treasured keepsake long after the wedding day.
My Promise
My goal is to make every guest feel special while creating artwork that reflects the beauty, atmosphere, and love surrounding your wedding day. Every artwork is painted with care, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for celebrating your story.
If you choose live guest artworks from either the 'Signature', Heirloom, or 'Grand Luxury' collections, you will receive timeless artwork of your guests, keeping the style loose and flowing with watercolour paints I maintain a cohesive and professional standard throughout - each collection also includes a special framed full length portrait of the bride & groom in watercolour.
How It Works
- 1. Arrival at your wedding venue. I arrive in plenty of time before your guests so I can settle in, familiarise myself with the space and prepare everything before the celebrations begin.
- 2. Setting up my workstation. I create a dedicated artist's work station in a suitable location, keeping my materials organised and easily accessible while ensuring I remain unobtrusive throughout your wedding.
- 3. Capturing reference photographs. As guests arrive and throughout the celebrations, I take quick reference photographs. These allow me to capture each person’s likeness, clothing and individual character while they enjoy the day naturally.
- 4. Creating the artwork live. During the reception drinks and dinner, I work continuously on your guest illustrations, bringing each portrait to life in my signature style. Guests can relax, enjoy themselves and watch their artwork develop.
- 5. Displaying the finished artwork. Once completed, each illustration is placed on a dedicated display table or stand. Guests can browse the artwork and collect their portrait whenever they are ready, creating a lovely keepsake to take home.
- 6. A special portrait of the newlyweds. Your bride and groom portrait is given special attention and is displayed in a beautiful frame on the display table. It remains on show throughout the duration of your wedding, becoming part of the day’s décor and a lasting piece of artwork to treasure.
- 7. A unique wedding keepsake. By the end of the celebration, your guests leave with an original piece of artwork created especially for them — a personal reminder of your wedding day that they can treasure long after the celebrations are over.
Live wedding illustration is a unique form of live event entertainment where your guests receive a hand-painted portrait created during your wedding day. I am here to discuss your ideas and can adapt to meet your vision.
Cancellation & Refund Policy▼
Cancellation & Refund Policy Your wedding date is reserved exclusively for you once your booking is confirmed. As wedding illustration bookings involve preparation, planning and the reservation of a specific date, the following cancellation and refund policy applies. Cancellation 90 Days or More Before the Wedding If you cancel 90 days or more before your wedding date, you will receive a full refund of all payments made, excluding the non-refundable booking fee. The booking fee is retained to cover the administration, planning and reservation of your wedding date. Cancellation 60–89 Days Before the Wedding If you cancel between 60 and 89 days before your wedding date, you will receive a 50% refund of the total amount paid. The remaining 50% will be retained to cover preparation, administration and the loss of the opportunity to accept another booking for your date. Cancellation 30–59 Days Before the Wedding If you cancel between 30 and 59 days before your wedding date, you will receive a 25% refund of the total amount paid. The remaining balance will be retained to cover work already undertaken and the increasing difficulty of re-booking your wedding date. Cancellation Less Than 30 Days Before the Wedding If you cancel less than 30 days before your wedding date, no refund will be provided. At this stage, the wedding date has been held exclusively for you and significant preparation may already have taken place, making it unlikely that the date can be re-booked. Change of Wedding Date If you need to change your wedding date rather than cancel your booking, please contact me as soon as possible. I will always do my best to accommodate a new date, subject to availability. Where the new date is available, your booking and payments can be transferred to the new date. Cancellation by Cherie (the artist), in the unlikely event that I am unable to provide the agreed service, I will offer to reschedule where possible. If an alternative date cannot be agreed, you will receive a full refund of payments made for services that have not been provided. Exceptional Circumstances If circumstances outside either party’s reasonable control significantly affect the wedding or the provision of the service, I will discuss the situation with you and, where possible, seek a reasonable solution such as transferring the booking to an alternative date. Refunds Where a refund is due under this policy, it will normally be processed within 14 days of the cancellation being confirmed, using the original payment method where possible. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge and agree to the cancellation and refund terms outlined above.
