Custom 5×7" hand-painted portraits, created live during your event — a unique, personalized keepsake for every guest to take home. Perfect for weddings, corporate events, anniversaries, and celebrations of all kinds, live guest portraiture also gives your guests an interactive experience they genuinely love to watch.
How It Works
Step 1: Planning your coverage
Once booked, we'll confirm your guest count and any priorities — bridal party, close family, or anyone you'd especially like included.
Step 2: Arrival and set-up
I arrive ahead of your guests to get set up and ready to begin.
Step 3: Live portraits
Guests come over, I take a quick reference photo so they can enjoy the party, and paint their portrait live. Portraits are available for pickup at the end of the evening.
Step 4: Collection
Finished portraits are ready to take home on the day.
Packages have been curated over Alexandra's years of experience as a live painter.
Choosing Your Package
Every package fills your celebration with original portraits, painted live and taken home by your guests the same day. The difference is the size of your wedding and how many of your guests I can capture.
Standard is designed for more intimate weddings, where your guests can share in a close, personal experience and leave with a portrait of their own.
Premium brings the same experience to a larger celebration, with longer coverage so more of your guests can take part.
Elite adds a true wow moment. Alongside portraits for every guest, I paint a larger watercolor portrait live during your ceremony, a centerpiece you’ll treasure for generations.
All packages include:

Cancellation & Refund Policy▼
A full refund is available up to 90 days prior to the wedding date, aside from travel expenses. A 50% refund is available 89-30 days before the wedding. Payments are non-refundable 30 days before the wedding date.
Artist's Service Terms▼
Important: These are the artist's service-specific terms. The platform's Terms & Conditions always take precedence.
Alexandra will provide the services of live hand-painted portraiture for the client’s event. Alexandra will complete as many portraits as possible within the agreed-upon timeframe. Portraits will be completed on a first-come, first-served basis (unless specified by Client). Priority lists are accepted but will be disclosed to guests during the event. Based on Alexandra’s experience, a standard portrait takes approximately 5-7 minutes to complete. Client acknowledges that the length of time to complete each portrait varies and, as such, Alexandra cannot guarantee the number of portraits to be completed during the agreed-upon time frame above. Alexandra will complete whatever portraits remain after the time of the event to bring the total number of painted portraits from the Event to what is described in the desired package. These additional portraits will only be utilized if Alexandra has not completed a portrait for all photos taken during the Event. Any photos that are utilized must be ones taken by Alexandra or Alexandra’s appointed photographer/associate. Outside photos from guests or the Client are not accepted unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Additional guest portraits will be provided up to two months after the event.

Who am I actually booking?
You're booking your artist directly. TheWeddingPainters connects you with independent artists, and once you confirm your booking, your contract sits directly with the artist you've chosen. We handle the booking process and payment on their behalf, so everything stays effortless and in one place from enquiry to wedding day.
Why should I pay through TheWeddingPainters instead of paying my artist directly?
Paying through TheWeddingPainters keeps your deposit and payments secure, your agreement recorded in one place, and our team on hand to step in if anything about the booking needs sorting out.
If you pay your artist privately, by bank transfer or PayPal, outside our system, we lose visibility of that payment and our ability to help. That matters most in the moment you'd need us: if there's a dispute, or your artist doesn't turn up on the day.
Keeping everything on-platform is what lets us actually protect your wedding day, not just process it.
What should I do if my artist asks me to pay them directly (bank transfer, PayPal, etc.)?
TheWeddingPainters is a booking platform – we help you and your artist keep the booking and payments clearly recorded. If payments happen privately, they won't appear in our system and it may limit how much we can assist if anything needs to be checked later.
If you ever feel unsure or pressured, please contact us and we'll take a look.
Will I lose any protection if I pay outside TheWeddingPainters?
If you pay your artist directly (for example by separate bank transfer, PayPal or cash), those payments won't show in your TheWeddingPainters booking record.
That means:
- We can't see what was paid, when, or on what terms
- It can be harder for us to help if there's a disagreement about what was included, what's still owed, or whether a refund is due
For that reason, we strongly recommend keeping all payments for your booking within TheWeddingPainters, where we process payments on your artist's behalf and keep a clear record for both of you.
