A live wedding painting turns a fleeting moment into something lasting, created as your day unfolds, with guests watching the scene appear brushstroke by brushstroke.

My style blends realism with a soft, romantic finish, and I work closely with each couple so the final piece feels entirely personal, from the moment you choose to the colours, the mood, and the scale. Every painting is different because every wedding is different, and I take the time to make sure yours feels that way.

How it works

Step 1 — Planning your moment

Before the wedding, we'll agree the moment you'd love captured — the aisle, your first kiss, your first dance, or anything else that feels right — along with your colour palette, overall mood, and the size that suits where you plan to hang the piece.

Step 2 — Arrival and set-up

On the day, I arrive ahead of time to set up and begin building the background — the atmosphere, the colours, and the setting — so everything is ready when your moment arrives.

Step 3 — Live painting during the celebration

As the day unfolds, I paint the couple live, bringing the moment to life stroke by stroke while your guests watch the artwork develop around them.

Step 4 — Studio finishing (optional)

If you'd like additional detail and a finer finish, I can take the painting back to the studio after the wedding for further refinement. This is particularly recommended for larger canvases, where studio time allows the piece to reach its full potential. It's entirely your choice — just let me know when we discuss your vision.

Step 5 — Delivery

Once complete, your finished painting is delivered to you, ready to be displayed in your home.

I paint on canvas from 20cm up to 100cm, giving you complete flexibility over the scale of your piece. Pricing starts from £850 and is confirmed at enquiry based on your chosen size and whether studio finishing is included.

• 90+ days before event: 100% deposit refund

• 60-89 days: 50% deposit refund

• 30-59 days: 25% deposit refund

• Under 30 days: No refund

Balance payments are fully refundable until 30 days before the event.

A Free Consultation Call: Every artist offers a short call to talk through your vision properly before anything's finalised, so you're guided by someone who knows what actually works on the day.

Quote Revisions Until It's Right: Not sure on size or package yet? Your artist can revise the quote as many times as you need until it reflects exactly what you want, with no pressure to decide early.

Flexibility If Things Change: From enquiry through to your wedding day, the artist follows up on the details that matter: deadlines, check-ins and next steps, so nothing gets missed on your side.

Who am I actually booking?

You're booking your artist directly. TheWeddingPainters connects you with independent artists, and once you confirm your booking, your contract sits directly with the artist you've chosen. We handle the booking process and payment on their behalf, so everything stays effortless and in one place from enquiry to wedding day.

Why should I pay through TheWeddingPainters instead of paying my artist directly?

Paying through TheWeddingPainters keeps your deposit and payments secure, your agreement recorded in one place, and our team on hand to step in if anything about the booking needs sorting out.

If you pay your artist privately, by bank transfer or PayPal, outside our system, we lose visibility of that payment and our ability to help. That matters most in the moment you'd need us: if there's a dispute, or your artist doesn't turn up on the day.

Keeping everything on-platform is what lets us actually protect your wedding day, not just process it.

What should I do if my artist asks me to pay them directly (bank transfer, PayPal, etc.)?

TheWeddingPainters is a booking platform – we help you and your artist keep the booking and payments clearly recorded. If payments happen privately, they won't appear in our system and it may limit how much we can assist if anything needs to be checked later.

If you ever feel unsure or pressured, please contact us and we'll take a look.

Will I lose any protection if I pay outside TheWeddingPainters?

If you pay your artist directly (for example by separate bank transfer, PayPal or cash), those payments won't show in your TheWeddingPainters booking record.

That means:

We can't see what was paid, when, or on what terms
It can be harder for us to help if there's a disagreement about what was included, what's still owed, or whether a refund is due

For that reason, we strongly recommend keeping all payments for your booking within TheWeddingPainters, where we process payments on your artist's behalf and keep a clear record for both of you.
