Description
Every guest leaves your wedding with a portrait of themselves drawn live, by hand, while they were busy enjoying the best day of the year.
There's a particular moment when someone spots their finished illustration and realises it actually looks like them, that flicker of surprise and delight. It happens every time, and it never gets old. That's what live guest illustration brings to a wedding that nothing else quite does.
How it works
Step 1 — Planning your coverage
Once booked, we'll confirm timings, your approximate guest count, and anyone you'd like prioritised — bridal party, close family, or any special requests.
Step 2 — Quick photo, no waiting
As guests come over, I take a quick reference photo so they can get straight back to celebrating. No posing, no queuing.
Step 3 — Live illustration
I work from the photos, creating each portrait by hand in approximately five to seven minutes. Guests are welcome to watch me draw, or simply collect their finished portrait later in the evening.
Step 4 — A personal keepsake
Each illustration is signed and presented ready to take home on quality A5 watercolour paper with a mixed media finish. I can also personalise each piece with your names and wedding date if you'd like.

The number of portraits completed depends on the mix of individuals, couples, and groups, and the natural pace of the day. If you have a larger guest list, I can also work from reference photos after the wedding to complete additional portraits.

Additional options
Illustrated place settings
Guest portraits drawn in advance from photos you provide, designed to double as place settings and a keepsake guests take home. Can include names or wedding details. Pricing mirrors the live packages.
Post-wedding illustrations
Prefer to send something out after the day — or want to include guests who weren't captured on the night? Portraits created after the wedding from reference photos, sent to you to distribute with thank you cards or as gifts.

Hi, I'm Lucy, a live guest illustrator based in Hove. I have a fine art foundation diploma and several years of experience in life drawing and fine art painting. I got into live guest illustration at university, working for Cambridge May Ball events producing speed drawings and I've been hooked on seeing people's reactions ever since. My style is expressive and bold, focused on capturing a quick, recognisable likeness with vibrant colour and loose, energetic linework.
