You're booking your artist directly. TheWeddingPainters connects you with independent artists, and once you confirm your booking, your contract sits directly with the artist you've chosen. We handle the booking process and payment on their behalf, so everything stays effortless and in one place from enquiry to wedding day.

Paying through TheWeddingPainters keeps your deposit and payments secure, your agreement recorded in one place, and our team on hand to step in if anything about the booking needs sorting out.

If you pay your artist privately, by bank transfer or PayPal, outside our system, we lose visibility of that payment and our ability to help. That matters most in the moment you'd need us: if there's a dispute, or your artist doesn't turn up on the day.

Keeping everything on-platform is what lets us actually protect your wedding day, not just process it.

TheWeddingPainters is a booking platform – we help you and your artist keep the booking and payments clearly recorded. If payments happen privately, they won't appear in our system and it may limit how much we can assist if anything needs to be checked later.

If you pay your artist directly (for example by separate bank transfer, PayPal or cash), those payments won't show in your TheWeddingPainters booking record.

That means:

• We can't see what was paid, when, or on what terms
• It can be harder for us to help if there's a disagreement about what was included, what's still owed, or whether a refund is due

For that reason, we strongly recommend keeping all payments for your booking within TheWeddingPainters, where we process payments on your artist's behalf and keep a clear record for both of you.
