    Description

A wedding commission is more than a portrait it’s a way to preserve the emotion and elegance of your day in a form you’ll live with for years.

I create realistic post-wedding oil paintings that blend classical portrait realism with a modern warmth. The goal is always the same: a painting that feels true to you as a couple capturing not just likeness, but the connection, atmosphere, and quiet magic that made the day yours.

    Style & Approach

I paint in a refined, realistic style that highlights the beauty of your wedding, the expression in your faces, the softness of light, the detail of your outfit, and the emotion you felt in that moment. Every brushstroke is designed to honour your love story in an elegant, heirloom way.

    Studio Process

Your portrait is created in my studio using your chosen photographs as reference. From there I:

    • refine the composition so the scene feels balanced and timeless
    • adjust lighting and tone to bring warmth and depth to the painting
    • carefully build likeness and detail through layered stages
    • paint using premium oil paints and archival materials for longevity

    Timeline

Each painting takes several weeks to complete. This includes:

    • sketching and underpainting
    • detailed rendering in multiple layers
    • drying time between layers
    • regular updates so you can see your moment unfold
    • final varnishing to protect and enhance the finish

This slower process is what gives oil paintings their depth, richness, and lasting quality.

    What You Receive

You’ll receive a fully finished, heirloom-quality oil painting, created to be displayed and treasured for generations.

    I’ll also provide guidance on:

    • framing options
    • care instructions
    • long-term preservation

If you’d like to enquire, send a message with your favourite wedding photo(s) and the overall feel you’d love the painting to capture and I’ll guide you through the next steps.
