Description
Whether you want to bring your favourite wedding photo to life, or to create a composite portrait from a few images, I can transform them into a timeless oil painting for you to treasure. By working with you to get a sense of your day and a feel for what is important to you from each image you provide, I aim to create a portrait that brings to mind every highlight of your wedding.
I work in two main styles, which serve different purposes depending on what style of overall image you would like to create.
Impressionistic Moments
A soft, dreamy portrait, that focuses less on detailed likenesses, and more on capturing the mood and environment, though still with the main couple clearly recognisable. This option works particularly well for smaller portrait sizes where a lot of detail would be lost, or for reference images where the couple are facing away, for instance, from the back of the ceremony, or the first kiss.
Detailed Couple Paintings
Where a more detailed approach is desired, I can offer a portrait designed to capture the emotion and happiness from your chosen scenes, as well as the beauty of your setting. This style of portrait is geared much more towards a detailed representation of your wedding, and is best suited to larger portrait sizes, to do justice to every element of the day.

No painting has started and no commission-specific materials have been purchased.

• Once the painting has begun
Sketching / underpainting or main work has started, but the piece is not substantially complete (typically up to around 75% complete, as judged by the artist).
→ 50% refund (Partial refund)
• When the painting is substantially complete
The artwork is close to finished (typically around 75%+ complete, as judged by the artist).
→ 0% refund (No refund)

Shipping Policy
Once the portrait is complete, you have the option to either collect it in person or have it hand-delivered by me (depending on your postcode) for a reasonable mileage fee. Alternatively, insured postage can be arranged as another delivery option.
