As a painter, I am extremely honoured to have the opportunity to meet you and create a beautiful and timeless keepsake to encapsulate your special day. Whilst photographs can capture the beauty of your wedding as it is, a live painting can delve even deeper alongside it, capturing not only how your day looked, but the emotions and atmosphere of it also.

Painting also offers its own form of magic - the ability to add any details or anyone. Whether you would like a specific motif which isn’t present on your actual wedding day, or have a guest/ family member unable to be there, these are all details which can be added to make you feel as if they were there blended seamlessly into your special day.

The experience will surely be a truly unforgettable element of your day, with yourself and your guests being able to watch the magic slowly unfold and transform into a timeless keepsake.

How it works:

Pre-Wedding Consultation:

Once you have sent a message and ensured your wedding date is available, we will have a consultation call (or in person meeting if you are local), during which we will discuss:

• Your choice of style i.e whether you would prefer a completely realistic approach to the piece or are open to having abstract elements.
• Your choice of canvas size. If you are unsure of your preference I will happily talk through and show examples of the various available sizes to help you make your decision.
• Which moment you would like to capture e.g vows, first kiss, first dance etc.
• Your choice of format i.e whether you would like a full or half body piece.
• Where you would like for me to be stationed
• Any additional details you would like to include such as specific colours, figures, pets or any other special details to help make your painting even more magical and personal to your day.

If at any point during the consultation you are unsure of what kind of direction you want to take, I will happily assist in any way that I can to ensure that you are completely satisfied. I will also be available to contact at any point between the booking and wedding day. Should any changes occur I will happily adapt to your day!

On the Day:

Step 1: Arrival and Set-Up

I will arrive 1 to 2 hours prior to the start of the wedding in order to set up my easel and materials. During this time I will begin to sketch and block in parts of the background and scenery. I will also take a few reference photos of any details which you would like me to capture, to use later on in the evening. I will coordinate with your photographers/ videographers accordingly as to not disrupt their shots.

Step 2: The Magic Begins

Following the ceremony, I will begin to capture the ambiance and emotions of the evening within the painting, adding details to truly capture the magic of your day.

Step 3: Immersing Yourself in the Experience

Arguably the most enchanting part of live painting is the experience itself. Not only will your guests have the opportunity to watch a painter, they and yourselves are also free to come up at any point and add their own brushstrokes and touches to the piece, making it a truly personal and unforgettable experience.

Studio Finishes:

It is important to note that the final painting will not be finished on the day, however the key and most important details will be blocked in and capture the emotions and atmosphere of the day. At the end of the evening I will reveal the painting to you before taking it back with me to the studio for additional details and final touch ups. Here I will happily add any details and make any reasonable amendments to the piece, should you have any. The final painting will be ready within 6 weeks and will be sent to you efficiently and securely, ready for display!

Watercolour Options:

• A4 Watercolour paper — £646
• A3 Watercolour paper — £754

There is also the option to add additional detailed figures, family members or pets at an additional fee of £50 per figure and £30 per pet. Guests can be included in a more abstract style, with less detail at no additional cost.

Additional Costs & Requirements:

Travel Expenses

• Plane/ Train/ Coach ticket costs vary depending on the location.
• An accommodation cost is added if travel exceeds 2 hours

Set-up requirements

• A small table (or chair) for art supplies 
• A chair for comfort
• Access to a power socket
• A modest fee may be applied if refreshments are not provided, or if there is a specific theme/ dress code
