Description
As a live wedding painter, I create something truly unique alongside your photography. I attend your wedding to paint live in front of your guests, capturing not just how your day looked, but how it felt – the joy, the love, the magic – all preserved in careful brushstrokes.
The experience itself becomes part of your celebration. You and your guests can watch the painting come to life throughout the day, seeing it transform from a simple sketch into a timeless piece of artwork that tells your story.
So how does it work?
Step 1: Your Consultation Call
Roughly a month before the wedding we will have a consultation call (or in person meet if you are local) to discuss the finer details like timings and plan for the painting. This is the time where we work out how I will fit seamlessly into your day. I want to hear about your vision, your style, and ideas for the painting. If you’re not sure what you want exactly, I can help to curate mood boards to fit with the aesthetic that suits you. Choose between a portrait, half body or full body. As your wedding approaches I will be regularly checking in so we’re both prepared. Venue changes? Timeline shifts? No problem, I adapt to your day.
Step 2: The Big Day Arrives
For whatever part of the wedding you decide that you want painting, I will arrive 1-2 hours before to set up my easel and start painting the background from life. In the key moments that you want to capture I will snap a few reference photos/videos to use later. I ensure to coordinate with you photographers/ videographers so that I don’t disrupt their shots.
Step 3: The Painting Begins
After the moment has been captured I will typically relocate to the reception (if I’m not already there because the ceremony area is going to be turned around). First look and ceremony paintings work particularly well because as everyone gets pictures outside the venue, I can make my quick exit to the reception so that when everyone is arriving, I am already set up and painting.
Step 4: Live Magic Unfolds
Your painting becomes part of the entertainment and you and your guests can get involved too!
There’s an artist in all of us so guests can come up and add their own brushstrokes to the painting.
(if you trust them to ;))
Step 5: Studio Perfection
At the end of the night I will reveal the painting to you before taking it back with me to the studio for touch-ups. The painting won’t be fully finished on the day but my aim is to block in the most important parts live including capturing the feeling of the day in loose painterly brushstrokes, and then touch-up the details later. Your painting arrives professionally framed around 6-8 weeks later with your choice of frame and ready to hang!

Artist's Service Terms▼
Important: These are the artist's service-specific terms. The platform's Terms & Conditions always take precedence.
Artistic Integrity
By booking a live wedding painting with the artist, the client confirms that they understand and accept the artist's individual creative approach, style, and artistic judgement. The client acknowledges that the final artwork will be the artist's interpretation of the event, rather than an exact photographic reproduction. On the day, the artist agrees to do their best to capture the vision planned in a consultation call beforehand but adjustments may be made on the day if deemed necessary. The client understands that commissioning a painting involves spontaneity and real-time artistic decisions. The artist will make every effort to capture the atmosphere and spirit of the occasion, but cannot guarantee the inclusion of every detail or specific moment previously agreed.
Framing
Framing included in the packages refers to standard framing. This means frames purchased as they are off the shelf. This usually only includes more simplistic frames. Request for an ornate or rare frame will have to be custom made in which case a surcharge will be added for professional framing. With the standard framing you will still have the option of whether or not you would like a mount. A cardboard mount must be accompanied with glass however unmounted frames will give you the option of having it without glass.
Revisions
The client will get the opportunity to review the painting and make adjustments before the painting is sent. It is the responsibility of the client to review photos before confirming that they are happy with the painting. Once varnish has been applied, no further changes can be made to the artwork.
Artist Rights
The Artist retains the copyright to the painting and any media created unless otherwise agreed in writing. The Client receives the original artwork for personal display/use.
Filming & Photography Consent
The Client grants permission for the Artist to film and/or photograph the live painting process, including guest reactions to the artwork. The Artist may use such footage for promotional purposes (website, social media, portfolio, etc.). A discreet sign will be displayed at the event to inform guests. Guests may opt out by notifying the Artist. No footage will be sold or used outside of promotional use without further consent.
Liability
The Artist is not liable for: Delays or interruptions due to venue restrictions, lighting, or environmental issues. Damage caused to the painting after handover. Any damage to the painting caused in transit will be the responsibility of the artist to obtain refunds from the insurance as well as fixing/creating a new painting.
Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to acts beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: weather events, strikes, pandemics, or venue closures.
Painting Turnaround
The completion time for a wedding painting is estimated at around 6-8 weeks however this can differ depending upon time of year. Other factors such as the addition of custom framing and international postage can increase the timeline to over 12 weeks. For international shipment, the client will be responsible for paying any import charges incurred. An International postage timeline cannot be guaranteed due to wait times in customs. There can sometimes be delays at the border which the artist does not take responsibility for.
