The Ultimate Expression of Love - Wedding Portrait Commission

Enduring Visions of Love

Across the centuries, life’s most important occasions have been captured on canvas not simply to record a likeness, but to preserve the inner essence of the moment: the tenderness, the anticipation, the quiet electricity of two people in love.

Your wedding is a day like no other. It is the culmination of your love for each other and yet, as all weddings do, it passes swiftly… a final swirl of confetti, and a collection of memories that soften with time. A magnificent portrait does not fade. Hanging in your home, it becomes a constant symbol of your devotion, a piece that captivates family and friends for generations, and ultimately becomes an heirloom.

A painting has the rare ability to capture presence, emotion, and character in a way no photograph ever could, and that is why a specially commissioned wedding portrait remains the ultimate expression of love.

Commissioning The Perfect Portrait Is Easy

Because every couple is different, your portrait should reflect your unique character and spirit.

Step 1 — The reference photographs (unobtrusive and effortless)

On the day of your wedding, or at a time to suit your convenience, Rob and a professional photographer will meet you at a location of your choice to photograph you in your wedding attire. The approach is intentionally unobtrusive and designed to take as little time as possible, ideal for couples who value privacy, ease, and a seamless experience.

You may choose:

a portrait of the bride and groom together, or

individual portraits (a beautifully intimate gift for parents, family, or the couple themselves).

Step 2 — From inspiration to painting

Once your reference photographs are created, Rob uses them as the foundation of your portrait. Working predominantly with oils and acrylics, the painting is built with light, colour, and texture producing a finished work that carries inner radiance and timeless elegance.

Step 3 — Completion, framing & delivery

Each painting generally takes 4–6 weeks to complete. When your portrait is ready, you’ll select from a beautiful range of high-quality frames. Your commission is then professionally framed and delivered by courier to the address of your choice.

A Timeless Symbol of Your Love

Brushstroke by brushstroke, Rob builds an exquisite story of your love for each other, a visual language for the moments words often cannot express. Whether commissioned as the wedding gift itself, or kept for a future anniversary, it remains a gesture that speaks across the years with a message as powerful as the day it was painted.

Discretion & Pedigree

Rob specialises in private commissioned wedding portraits that preserve the character and feeling of the day. Over the past two decades he has completed countless private commissions for couples and collectors, with work requested by clients across top-flight sport, film, and royalty (identities withheld for confidentiality). Notable commissions include 10 illustrations for Nestlé’s Quality Street 75th Anniversary tin, and the cover painting for Take That’s Never Forget – The Ultimate Collection (2005).

Private Consultation

If you are seeking a portrait that is quietly magnificent, romantic, timeless, and made to be lived with, send an enquiry to arrange a private consultation and personalised quote.
