Live Wedding Painting by Patrick

Thank you for your interest

A photograph preserves a moment, but my watercolour paintings has the power to turn it into poetry. My live watercolour paintings captures the emotion, joy, and tenderness of your day in a way that feels timeless—while giving your guests the joy of watching your love story come to life, brushstroke by brushstroke.

Watercolours are renowned for its light, bright, and translucent qualities. It is also one of the most difficult mediums to master over many years. The vibrant but soft nature of watercolours captivates the viewer’s eye in ways that are much different from other mediums. Watercolours also provides a natural and warm depiction of the scene with an artistic feel as the colours and texture naturally blend. This means that my paintings are created to hold the warmth, joy, and deep connection of your celebration, allowing you to remember not only how your wedding looked, but how it felt. With a gentle focus on likeness and thoughtful artistic touches, my painting will ensure that you and your partner are portrayed at your best and most radiant.

Every artwork is lovingly personalised to reflect your vision and the atmosphere you’ve dreamed of - all presented in a glass (not Perspex) frame with mount which will compliment your home environment. The result is a romantic keepsake—an heirloom filled with emotion, beauty, and the essence of your love—sure to create a true “wow” moment for you and your guests.

Please be sure to look at the examples of my works and live videos which will show you how I bring these experiences to life

How It Works

Consultation

1. Please message me to see if your date is available and we can then arrange a quick conversation by phone or video call to discuss the logistics and plans for your wedding day and more importantly your vision, style and ideas for your painting. For example:

whether you would like half body or full body

watercolour size

the moment you would like me to capture (first kiss, exchange of vows etc)

any people or pets which you might like to include

or anything else that might come to mind - anything is possible with paintings!

I recommend that you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment

On the Day

2. On the day I'll arrive 2 hours before the start of the event to set up and get started on sketching the background and assessing composition so guests see your artist at work as they arrive. I usually carry two easels one for sketching and to move around so I can follow the guests if necessary or position myself in the right spot. My other easel is a beautiful traditional wooden easel with brass compliments, which is situated in a more permanent location at your wedding for the painting process to begin and interact with your guests.

At your chosen moment e.g. the first kiss, I will take some photographs working closely with your photographer. This photo will be my reference to ensure that I preserve expressions and details of the moment which I can also take back to the studio.

I make every effort to actively engage with your guests and talk them through the process. You can also contribute your artistic touch to your painting, making your mark. However don't fret, though - if you happen to place a colour in an unintended spot, I can lift off the paint or paint over it.

3. My time is up to 8 hours but I’m flexible in order to capture the right moment.

Studio work to perfect

4. The painting will be displayed throughout the wedding and some additional studio time will be needed to finish and perfect the painting. For example I may add highlights or subtle touches of gold and silver leaf. The painting and frame (with mount) will be posted securely to an address of your choice to hang pride of place.

Package and Pricing

The actual scene of the painting is available in two sizes:

28.5 x 40.5 cm (A3) £899 (glass display wooden frame display size is 38 x 50 cm)

42.0 x 59.4 cm (A2) £1499 (glass display with wooden frame display size is 62.5 x 87cm)

Each package includes:

A high-quality watercolour scene or portrait of your choice, created with professional-grade materials and true-to-life likeness.

A consultation call to discuss your vision and preferences.

Up to 8 hours of live painting on the day, with guest interaction (setup time not included).

Additional studio time post-event to refine and perfect your painting.

Certificate of authenticity.

Signed, secure delivery to your home.

A glass display in a wooden frame with a mount — ready to hang, in your choice of white, black, oak, or rustic finish.

Additional travel costs

Under 50 miles from London is free and any additional miles is calculated at £0.45/mile

1 night accommodation cost is added if the travel to the venue exceeds 1.5 hours

2 night accommodation cost added if travel to the venue exceeds 3 hours (this is to ensure safe travel to and from the venue)

However I will work all this out for you so you are clear on the prices.

Next Steps

Message me for more information or to arrange a quick call as the first step to create your dream painting.

Patrick
