I’m thrilled to offer you a unique, live wedding painting experience that preserves the joy and essence of your special day on canvas. My approach begins with a collaborative consultation to understand your vision in depth, including the setting, medium, style, and details that will bring your dream artwork to life. For any thank-you card guest portraits, please reach out at least two weeks before the wedding, allowing time to design these thoughtful touches in advance.
On the day itself, I’ll arrive early to set up. For watercolour or fine-liner artwork, I’ll be there an hour before the ceremony, and for acrylic paintings, I’ll arrive 1–3 hours beforehand, allowing me time to begin painting the background once your beautiful decorations are in place. I’ll also capture photographs of key moments between you and your partner, using these references to infuse the painting with the genuine emotion and ambiance of the day. My focus will always be on portraying the couple or an individual in the setting you’ve envisioned.
I also enjoy engaging with your guests throughout the day by offering a limited number of live guest portraits, which often add a delightful touch to the event. If you’d like more guest portraits, I can create additional sketches based on photographs either two weeks before or after the wedding.
Artwork Options and Pricing
- 8.5 x 5.5 cm Thank-you card guest portraits – £3 each + printing costs (if any)
- A6 size – Fine-liner guest portraits, £7 per person (enquire for detailed price list)
- A4 size – Fine-liner, watercolour, or acrylic art, £250 each (minimum of two)
- 30 x 40 cm canvas – Acrylic, £625
- 40 x 50 cm canvas – Acrylic, £930
- 50 x 60 cm canvas – Acrylic, £1310
I’ll be available for the whole day on your wedding day to create a memorable piece that reflects your love and joy. Afterward, I’ll take the artwork back to my studio for any final touches. Throughout this process, I’ll send you progress photos and happily incorporate any adjustments you request. Additionally, I offer a time-lapse video of the painting process, edited to a song of your choice, as a keepsake that captures the creation of your wedding day artwork.
Your final piece will be completed within 2-3 weeks, depending on the size and any adjustments needed. Once it’s ready, I’ll reach out to discuss delivery options with you. Additional guest sketches will also be completed within 2 weeks, although an extra week may be needed for larger quantities.
Additional Costs and Requirements
- Travel Expenses: Costs for coach or train tickets vary based on location. For remote venues, transport assistance from the nearest accessible point may be needed.
- Extended Travel Time: £20 per hour for travel times exceeding four hours.
- Food and Drink: A modest fee of £30–£40 may be required to cover refreshments if complimentary food is not provide.
- Overnight Accommodation: £40–£150 per night depending on location, if required.
- Setup Needs: I’ll need access to plug sockets for lighting, along with a table or chair for my paints and sketching supplies.
