No examples? No problem! Many of our artists got started by creating examples using wedding photos from friends or family. It’s a great way to build your portfolio and showcase your talent in the beginning.

No, you can paint as much or as little as you want. You’re in control.
Its completely up to the artist what medium they use for their artwork, we do not make any recommendations. The artwork style should be clearly stated in each listing description to remove any confusion for couples. If couples are asking for specific requirements it is up to each artist to decide whether they are able to provide them.
This depends on how many booking requests an artist gets from couples along with their availability. We do not restrict artists on the number of live wedding portraits they are required to complete each month, as this all depends on how ‘in demand’ they are.
This is up to the artists and the package that they are providing. If you are able to complete the portrait during the ceremony then this is beneficial as you can present the artwork to the couple to take home. If you require more time and need to take the painting back to your studio this is also fine, providing this has been discussed prior with the couple.
This will be decided between the artist and the couple. The couple will decide which moments the artist will capture, such as their first dance or exchanging of the vows. It will then be up to the artist to situate themselves in the best location at the venue to capture this moment.
As a live wedding painter it is your job to capture the couples special moment. Things move fast during a wedding and the couple aren’t going to stand perfectly still for you to paint, so taking photos is recommended, so you can finalise the piece after the moment has passed.
Material costs should be included in the price of your package to the couple, there should be no surprises at the end for them. Travel expenses and any added extras can be charged separately, but everything should be discussed and confirmed before any money has been exchanged. This way the couple know exactly what they are getting and exactly how much they will be paying.
If you are painting during the ceremony, its most likely that you would be using your own photograph. This is because most wedding photographers take a couple of days/weeks to develop the photos, so wouldn’t be able to provide you with one during the ceremony.
The client contracts with the artist, we are just a platform that facilitates this interaction. Artists are able to apply their own policies to each of their listings which are independent of our policies and T&Cs. Both artists and clients must comply with our T&Cs which are separate from the ones applied to an artists listings.
